Mansour-Race Winner, Leading Male Line
There is a disagreement between the published Egyptian records and Carl Raswan concerning the pedigree of Mansour (RAS). The RAS History, the EAO Stud Books and the pedigree from Prince Mohamed Alys stud at Manial for Roda all show Gamil Manial (MNL) as sire and Nafaa El Saghira (APK) as dam.Carl Raswan, in Raswan Index entry #5956, shows Jamil (APS) as the sire. In this entry, Raswan states that Prince Mohamed Aly and Dr. Branch, Director of the RAS animal section, told him that Jamil had been bred to Nafa in 1920 and that in 1921 Nafa had produced Mansour. He further states that Prince Mohamed Aly and Prince Kamal al-Din had made every effort to breed Jamil to Nafa as neither horse had Mu´niqi blood in its pedigree.Raswans position on the breeding of Nafaa El Saghira is confusing; if one follows correction #1193, discussed under Nafaa El Saghira (APK), the argument of no Muniqi in the mating which produced Mansour is no longer convincing. It might be noted that Carl Raswan died in October, 1966, just after the EAO stud book containing the pedigree of Nafaa El Saghira was published and prior to publication of the additions and corrections to the Raswan Index in 1967. Whether he might have clarified his position on Mansour had he lived longer is something we cannot now know.

The official pedigree of Gamil Manial and Nafaa El Saghira is followed in the Pedigree Index.

It should also be noted that Mansour and Gamil Manial are phenotypically very similar which rules out Jamil as the sire of Mansour.

Finally, in Egyptian Arabic pronounciation Jamil is spoken like Gamil so that a simple confusion of the two stallions could have taken place if Manial wasnt added for clarification.

Ozzy is a true black stallion. With all the beauty is the world. With large eyes and with that exotic head and that tiny little nose. With a well set neck a thicker build then most Straight Egyptian Arabians. With that easy going temperament due to the fact he has a leg injury he was never shown if it were not for the leg injury he would have been a champion but he is a champion in his own way.

Ozzy first foal crop is due next year and we are so excited to see what he will give us!

If he is anything like his sire he will put all he has and more into each foal!

This boy has a floating trot, high tail carriage with amazing conformation.

He is a grandson to Saud El Ameer.
He is loaded with black breeding!

He is now standing to the public!!!

Rashad IBN Nazeer-Bred by Egyptian Agricultural Organization, Egypt. Imported from Egypt to United States of America in 1958 by Richard G. Pritzlaff, Sapello, New Mexico. Rashad Ibn Nazeer during schooling session by Hans Handler of the Spanish Riding School. Handler visited importer Richard Pritzlaff of Rancho San Ignacio (RSI) in NM, who had taken lessons at the school in Vienna, at least twice.Richard Pritzlaff, a skilful rider, praised Rashad`s ability to sire foals with excellent withers, sloping shoulder, good legs and a particularly fine neck and throatlatch. For Pritzlaff, Rashad was an efficient and dependable breeding animal - a stallion that could be depended upon to pass on his performance ability, his action, and -most of all - his friendly disposition. But Rashad was more than that, more than a priceless Nazeer son that was too precious to be ridden. He was Pritzlaff`s friend and personal mount.
